We would like to thank you for helping us open the pool this summer under protocols no one dreamed about last summer. Your patience and support mean a lot to Erin and her team!
Aside from the newly revamped baby pool, the biggest change we have this summer is our online reservation system. We knew that launching this system would involve trial and error, and adjustments would need to be made along the way. We are thankful to our members for providing feedback on their experiences so far, and we appreciate Erin and her team continuously adapting and working to help our members through this new process.
As a reminder, if you have questions about current pool capacity during a session you are not signed up for, we encourage you to call the pool directly.
We hope that as the summer progresses and the state of North Carolina opens more, we will be able to lessen our restrictions. In the meantime, we are trying to find ways to fairly accommodate all our members. The safety and overall well-being of our members continue to be our top priority. After careful review of the guidelines, we do have some good news. We feel that we can safely increase the pool capacity to 130 members. We should continue to be mindful of social distancing on the deck, and the in-pool capacity remains at 45.
Based on the experience so far, we are making some very important changes to the reservation policy. Each member will be permitted to make ONE online reservation per day. The intent is that each individual member of a family can have only a single spot reserved each day. If you have already reserved more than one spot on any given day, please go and cancel additional reservations. This policy will ensure that all members have the chance to reserve spots and enjoy the pool. We at Friendly have always prided ourselves on our family atmosphere. Now more than ever we need to be considerate of our fellow members. While the reservation system is not ideal, it is necessary. Please be a good Frog and abide by the reservation policy.
And again, even if you do not have a reservation, you may call the pool and ask – chances are, you may be able to get in anyway.
REMINDERS & TIPS FOR THE ONLINE RESERVATIONS SYSTEM:
Please email friendlypark2020@gmail.com if you need technical assistance, or if you need to request member access to the online reservation system.
CANCELLATIONS: If you, or any member of your family, will not be coming to the pool, please cancel your reservation(s) so other members can use the pool.
IMPORTANT: You cannot cancel the reservation for your entire family with the click of a single button. You must use the drop-down menu to select each family member's name and cancel each family member's reservation separately. For example, if there are four people in your family reserved for a single session, you must make four separate cancellations (one for each name).
IMPORTANT: If you need to cancel a reservation after the reservation time has started, please call the pool at 336-855-0020 and advise the Lifeguards; calling the pool is the only way to let the Lifeguards know your space(s) is available for other members needing a dip in the pool
HOW TO CANCEL YOUR RESERVATIONS: If plans change, please remember to cancel your reservation before the start of the session.
To cancel:
- Click on your name in the top right corner of the page.
- Choose “View Profile”
- Click “Details” on the reservation you wish to cancel, and then click on the red “Cancel Booking.”
If you have reserved for more than one person, you will need to cancel their reservations as well. (In the top green oval with your name, click the down arrow to choose the other people booked.)
If the session you would like to reserve is full, you may call the pool during that time to see if there have been any cancellations. 336-855-0020.
