Boost your tennis and pickleball skills this summer with clinics offered at Friendly Park Swim & Tennis! Perfect for all levels of ability, an expert coach will help you grow your game while meeting friends, enjoying the sunshine, and staying active.

All programming is led in 2024 by Owen Findley, an assistant coach for the men's tennis team at the University of Mary Washington. Sign up now for any of the offerings listed here by emailing Findley at jowenfindley@gmail.com. Private lessons are available upon request. Please reach out for availability.

Adult Tennis Clinics

Take part in adult drill and play exercises to raise your game to new heights.

Mondays and Tuesdays

Cost: $35 for a 90-minute clinic

Youth Tennis Clinics

Mondays through Thursdays (4 days a week)
June 10 - July 18
Youth 13+ (9:00 - 10:00 a.m.)
12 and unders (10:00 - 11:00 a.m.)
Cost: $100 per child (Payment by check to Friendly Park, Inc. on the first day of attendance) 

Practices are run opposite of the swim practice times. We can be flexible, so if you have a 10-year-old who does not swim but would like to practice with the older kids, that can work. Contact Owen Findley to discuss your needs.

Junior Team Tennis Camp

Learn & Play Pickleball

About Owen Findley

Owen Findley is an assistant coach for the men's tennis program at the University of Mary Washington, a position he assumed after spending a year at University of North Carolina Greensboro. His summer club experience includes positions at Friendly Park Swim & Tennis and as director of pickleball and head racquet professional for the junior and adult tennis program at the Green Spring Valley Hunt Club in Owings Mills, Maryland.

A native of Raleigh, Findley has coached a DI top 115 player and a DIII All-American doubles team. He graduated cum laude from Methodist University in 2021 as a member of the varsity men’s tennis team. Findley majored in marketing with a concentration in professional tennis management, while also earning a certificate in Psychosocial Aspects of Sport and Coaching.

As part of the Professional Tennis Management program, Findley spent three summers completing tennis internships in New Jersey and Maryland. He is certified as a teaching professional by the USPTA and PTR and is also certified as a pickleball instructor.
