We're More Than a Pool. We're a Community.
Friendly Park Swim & Tennis is a fully member-owned, private recreational club conveniently located on beautiful, shady grounds near Friendly Shopping Center.
Friendly opened in 1958, which, thanks to the dedicated management of members and staff, makes it the oldest private neighborhood pool in Greensboro.
In 2019, Friendly Park Swim & Tennis named its pool after Erin Harris, the club's longtime manager and coach to both the swim team and artistic (formerly synchronized) swimming program, in honor of her decades of service to the pool community.
Friendly is run by a volunteer Board of Directors elected by membership at the end of each summer. Directors meet monthly throughout the year to ensure each season provides countless memories for members of all ages, interests, and lived experiences.
