The sun will set on Friendly's 2024 summer swim season on Monday, September 2, but not before we celebrate with an artistic swim performance and our annual BBQ!
We provide the meal while you bring/buy drinks from the snack bar. Please RSVP here via SignUpGenius no later than Tuesday, August 27, at 5 p.m. This helps us know how much food to order. If you do not want to participate in the BBQ, you are more than welcome to stay at the pool until closing.
Food will be served following an artistic swim performance that starts at 4:30 p.m. and a brief membership meeting to elect new board officers.
Schedule for Labor Day Festivities
- 4:30 p.m.: Artistic Swimming (formerly known as Synchronized Swimming) performance
- 5 p.m.: FPI General Membership Meeting and brief remarks by board president David Beckham
- 5:30 p.m.: Dinner catered by Country BBQ (may start serving a few minutes early but please allow space around the food area)
- 8 p.m.: Pool closes for Summer 2024.

Important Changes in Pool Operations
- As we begin to prepare for the end of the season, inventory at Friendly's snack bar will not be replenished. Limited offerings will continue to be available for purchase.
- Starting Monday, August 26, the Erin Harris Pool at Friendly will close at 8 p.m. every night through Labor Day.
- Due to staff availability as lifeguards return to school, guests will be prohibited from the hours of 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. from Monday, August 26, through Friday, August 30. The snack bar will only serve drinks, packaged snacks, and ice cream from opening until 4 p.m.
- A full menu will be available (while supplies last) from 4-7 p.m., with only drinks and prepackaged items available for sale (while supplies last) through an earlier snack bar closing time of 7:30 p.m.
